Women's Self Defense

Mechanicsburg self defense workshop for Girl Scouts CANDO event

On Saturday April 27, 2019 Villari’s Self-Defense Center of Mechanicsburg had the pleasure to take part in the Girl Scouts CANDO event by conducting self-defense workshops for the girls.

There were girls participating from the Rutherford and Harrisburg PA areas as well as troops represented from Chambers Hill Pa, Middletown Pa, and from Duncannon Pa.

The event covered aspects such as environmental and situational awareness, making good decisions and conflict avoidance to everyday items that can be used for self-protection.

The highlight of the workshops came when it was time to train the girls in the self-defense techniques. They jumped right in and put a ton of effort and energy into the training. They left with a sense of confidence and empowerment.

Until next time,

Owner and Chief Instructor | Villari’s of Mechanicsburg
